Our acoustic experts can help you optimise the
acoustic performance of your installation

Sound Advice
Specialising in commercial interiors, we provide pre- and post-construction/fit-out reports.
Our reports follow industry standards, offer practical advice from our construction expertise, and aim for clarity during stakeholder discussions. We provide tailored acoustic solutions for specific spaces, including soundproofing, absorption, and noise reduction.

The ABCD of acoustics
An analysis of your environment and an understanding of how it needs to function. This allows us to calculate the best course of corrective action to take using our ABCD approach.

Absorbtion

Blocking
Acoustic absorption involves materials absorbing sound energy to prevent reflections. Contemporary office designs often use hard, reflective surfaces, leading to acoustic issues. Specialised absorbent products reduce noise and prevent echoes. We use proprietary software to measure and customise acoustic solutions for each space. Advances in materials offer effective, visually appealing options, allowing functional and aesthetic office designs, without compromise
Blocking in acoustic management involves using barriers like partitions, screens, and cabinets to stop sound energy from traveling freely. High barriers are more effective but less attractive in open offices. Effective barriers have dense cores and absorbent faces. We assess interior design and existing acoustic products to determine necessary barriers. We collaborate with designers for sensitive integration. Prioritizing user communication needs is key to a comfortable acoustic environment through blocking techniques.
Diffusion scatters sound energy to minimize echoes and reflections, creating a more uniform sound distribution compared to flat surface reflections. Hard surfaces can lead to disruptive echoes, affecting speech clarity and intelligibility. Diffusers disperse sound in various directions, reducing intensity and localization. Effective diffusers uniformly alter sound propagation. For further details on our use of diffusion techniques in conjunction with sound absorption, please contact us.

Covering

Diffusion
Covering or masking involves using a sound masking system with random, unidentifiable background noise from speakers to reduce distractions. It raises ambient sound levels for speech privacy and noise control. The masking sound conceals lower noises and reduces the impact of louder ones. It effectively blocks unwanted conversations and office noise. We use the LogiSon Sound Masking System for its industry-leading performance in our ABCD solution.
